Our old name no longer reflected who we are or what we do best.

So beginning January 1, 2026, we stepped confidently into a new chapter as The Veil Wedding Loft.

Same space. Same amazing team. Just a name that finally matches the experience we create for our couples.

Why the Change?

For years, we were known as Speakeasy On State — a name deeply tied to the building’s past but not the purpose it serves today. While we love our history, we noticed something important happening: Couples searching for a wedding venue were overlooking us because our name sounded like a bar. Search engines were picking up the wrong signals. Newly engaged couples were landing on our page expecting cocktails… not ceremonies and receptions.

That didn’t sit right with us.

Our venue is romantic. It’s architectural. It’s historic. It’s a place where couples start their forever — and we wanted our name to reflect that clearly.
